Joshua Agusta, Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India:

One of Indonesia’s leading venture capitalists, Joshua Agusta is executive director at Vertex Ventures, running the Southeast Asia and India fund of the global technology and healthcare venture fund network, part of Temasek. Previously director of Venture Funds for Mandiri Capital Indonesia, the corporate VC arm of Bank Mandiri, Indonesia’s largest, he is also deputy head of investment and partnerships at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Nikhilesh Goel, Co-founder and Group CEO, Validus:

Nikhilesh Goel started Validus, a Vertex Ventures SEA’s portfolio company in 2015 to make it easier for underserved small businesses to access much-needed financing. Using AI-powered data analytics, it has distributed over US$1 billion in unsecured loans to SMEs in Asia. Having acquired Citi Singapore’s small business banking unit’s loan portfolio and integrated Klearcard, a virtual expenses management company, Validus’ goal of transforming financial management for small businesses is within reach.
